MIAL to start demolishing part of Mumbai airport's T1 from January 15 next year as part of a major redevelopment plan for the nearly 80-year-old terminal. The first phase will focus on the North Section of Terminal 1-B, while flight operations are being gradually redistributed between Terminal 2 and Navi Mumbai International Airport to minimise disruption for passengers and airlines.
