The Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) corridor continues to make steady progress, and one of its most important nodes—Vapi Bullet Train Station—is now entering an advanced stage of construction. A recent aerial update shared on X.com by Dronecap Aerial Explorer shows that roof installation at the station is nearly complete, signalling major structural progress toward the project’s 2026 milestone.

A Modern High-Speed Rail Hub Taking Shape

Located in Dungra village near the Vapi–Silvassa Road, the station features a striking, modern façade designed to reflect the identity of India’s first bullet-train network. According to updated project data:

  • Structural steel erection and platform slab casting have been completed.

  • Roof sheeting work, visible in the new drone visuals, is almost finished.

  • Electrical, façade, and interior development are now progressing simultaneously.

  • The station spans 28,917 sq. ft. with a height of 22 metres, offering a spacious, airport-style layout.

Connectivity Boost for South Gujarat

The station’s strategic location ensures high accessibility:

  • 7 km from Vapi Railway Junction

  • 7.5 km from Vapi Bus Station

  • 5 km from GIDC Industrial Zone

Once operational, the bullet train will drastically reduce travel time between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, bringing Vapi closer to major commercial hubs and strengthening the manufacturing-driven economy of South Gujarat. ( Vapi Bullet Train Station )

Gujarat Section Racing Ahead

NHSRCL has confirmed significant achievements across the corridor:

  • Over 300 km of viaducts and 388 km of piers completed.

  • Gujarat section between Vapi and Sabarmati targeted for 2027 completion.

  • Full Mumbai–Sabarmati operations expected by 2029.

  • Trial runs on the Surat–Bilimora stretch anticipated by 2026–27.

These milestones place the Vapi station among the most rapidly progressing sections of the MAHSR project.

The Road Ahead ( Vapi Bullet Train Station

With major civil work completed and roofing nearly done, Vapi station will soon move into:

  • Interior and façade finishing

  • Electrical and mechanical installations

  • Passenger amenity setup—lifts, escalators, business lounge, nursery, and more

The station’s development marks a critical step toward India’s high-speed rail future, promising faster travel, regional economic growth, and a new benchmark for modern transport infrastructure.
