Rs561 Crore Kopri–Patni Creek Bridge Project Moves Ahead as Aakshya Infra Emerges L1 Bidder
A major connectivity project in Thane has taken an important step forward with Aakshya Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd. emerging as the lowest (L1) bidder for the proposed Kopri–Patni Creek Bridge and approach road, Rs561 Crore Kopri–Patni Creek Bridge Project Moves Ahead as Aakshya Infra Emerges L1 Bidder.
The project is planned as a cable-stayed creek bridge connecting Kopri (Ashtavinayak Chowk) to Patni, strengthening road connectivity across the Thane Creek.
₹561.30 Crore L1 Bid
Three companies participated in the tender process. The financial bids were evaluated on September 11, 2026:
Aakshya Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd. — L1: ₹561.30 crore
Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. — L2: ₹590.56 crore
Speco Infrastructure — Technically rejected
Aakshya's bid is around ₹29.26 crore lower than the L2 bid from Hindustan Construction Company.
Why the Kopri–Patni Bridge Matters
The new creek crossing is expected to strengthen connectivity within the rapidly developing Thane region and add another important link to the area's expanding road network.
The proposed bridge is part of a broader infrastructure push across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, where new bridges, coastal roads and elevated corridors are being developed to improve mobility and reduce pressure on existing routes.
The project is also reported as a six-lane cable-stayed bridge, with the broader Thane–Airoli creek-bridge proposal estimated at around 1.4 km.

Better creek connectivity can support smoother movement between Thane, Navi Mumbai and surrounding growth corridors, while strengthening access for commuters, businesses and freight movement.
With projects such as Thane Coastal Road, Thane–Airoli connectivity improvements and other MMR infrastructure initiatives progressing, the Kopri–Patni bridge could become another important piece of Thane's future transport network.
The L1 bid is an important milestone, although being L1 does not by itself mean the final contract has been awarded.
